The Moroccan TV 2M hides a truth and reveals another one.
What happened exaclty ?
The Moroccan TV channel 2M have been on the spot light since the channel demonstrates how to cover up domestic violence with make up.
It goes back to Wednesday 23th November, 2016 where 2M have broadcast Make up tips in a popular daily Show TV called "Sabahiyat 2M".
On the occasion of the world day to combat domestic violence, the Make up artist stated that "the sequence was made for moroccan women how suffer from domestic violence and who need to hide it".
In the Make up sequence, the Make up artist explained what colors and what beauty product to use in a very calm and professionnel way.

Until then, the responsable have notice anything wrong. At 3 PM on Friday 25th, the moroccan newspaper Telquel finally reacted and wrote an article called "The hallucinatory advice of 2M for beaten women". And it was at this point where the information became a real scandal.
Why it's the biggest Moroccan TV scandal ?
2M is a moroccan TV known for its editorial line that defends women's rights. In fact, they said that "they have been defending moroccan women since 27 years".
In fact, they adopted in 2015 a charter for the enhacement of women's image and avoid degrading representation of women.
Actually, 2M is the only moroccan media who considers women's right. They are not allowed to make such a terrible mistake especially on the occasion of the world day to combat domestic violence.
Also, 2M is under the surveillance of the HACA who controles and penalizes offenses committed by public and private moroccan broadcasters.
It clearly emphasises that there's a lack in control and surveillance in both 2M and HACA.
What we have to learn from this ?
Once again thanks to social media, the Moroccans expressed their anger and they mobilized through petition signature.
Also, this case is a first in the history in moroccan public broadcasters because "for the first time a moroccan channel apologizes for its public", as stated M. Bensfia Adellatif, a professor in ISIC.
Once again, this case shows that Moroccan Public Broadcasters lack of control and surveillance and need to evaluate and learn from their mistake.
"Public service media need to adopt a participatory approach in order to put mechanisms like the charter for the enchacement of women's image, stated M. Bensfia Adellatif, that's why 2M staff didn't how to deal with that subject".
In fact, TV channels like 2M need to communicate about it externally but mainly internallyand put some guidance to follow and put a specific oversight committee.
